Lasers aren't 100% negated by power shielding, and at some distances it's not even the best option to powershield. That's mostly a scrub myth. You can easily throw off people's powershield timings and reactions to force them to respond to lasers differently. On top of that missing a powershield means being stuck in shield which is advantageous for falco. Watch a high level falco match and you won't see that many powershields.

It could have continued to be improved to a better exchange of character interaction if that makes sense rather than the flowcharts by increasing hitbox diversity and complexity but alas it was axed and it didn't seem like the dev team even thought of that. I don't know why, but it makes me feel good to see m2k take sets off of mang0, like he just finally solved the puzzle that has been the bane of his career. Plus he's been consistently going marth. He may not be the best Marth ever only if PP comes from nowhere and takes APEX with him like in 2015, but the clean way he uses him makes it seem like that is how the character is supposed to be played.

The interactions between top six right now are weird. Mango loses to everyone and yet he's one of three people who can beat Armada still. Plup is in this strange middle phase where he's losing to people below him, beating mango, losing to m2k and beating leffen and losing to hbox and Armada. There's some strange fluidity in standings and the only two people who are consistent are Armada and Hbox. m2k is like third most consistent now.

Let's say instead you spot dodge, this would instead mess up his timing if he planned on hitting and being in hitlag. You could then punish easier.

There's hundreds of situations like that were you try to mix up people's L-cancel. You can't just use it based on muscle memory every time.
