I've only ever seen "Ian" get used as random NPC trainer's in the Pokemon games. Makes it really jarring every time I encounter them, but there's been at least one nearly every generation since gen 2.

Outside that, I've seen far too many movies where characters with my name are usually an unlikable villain, unlikable side character, dead, or a combination of at least two or all three those. Kind of a shit deal.

There are very, very few Dans in video games in general. The only one I can think of immediately is the one from Street Fighter, and his name is a (non-sexual) double entendre. The character his name is written with in Japanese means "failure" or something.
