Low quality, low effort content that can be done multiple times a day buy just about anyone, yet the manage to create and entire industry based around that and get tons of cash and fans despite it.

Keep in mind stuff like this always existed, Mystery Science Theater is probably the most famous example and you could argue that it's just "a bunch of guys not doing much but watch movies". But something like MST3K had props and skits that took time and the jokes were more witty and referential to a very niche audience. Modern LP'rs however do the very minimum in actual content and worst of all, just aren't funny. Their humor derives mostly from yelling and overreacting with absolutly no thought put into their "jokes".

Even as someone as hatable and humorless as Adam Sandler still probably has to make a screenplay and occasionally get up and do a very basic action. They don't even do that much beyond the editing.
