I still don't know if I'm playing it right cause no moonrunes knowledge but the new weapons are fun and fighting gigantes utilizing platforms and such is neat.

Currently a HUnewearl specializing in fists and that new weapon. Due to not knowing moonrunes I had no clue what quests were what so I ended up killing/capping a ton of giganteses and now I'm like level 45 and not at the end of the story yet which is kind of crazy if you think of how pso2 worked early on.

I'm a fairly mainstream gamer who doesn't generally play weeb games or indie titles... And my Vita gets a few dozen hours a month of playtime, mostly remote play or PS1 classics. Replaying Suikoden II now, with run throughs of Metal Slug III during the commute.

I even manage to play Yakuza 0 during my commute via 4gLEE tethering.

I would've been all over it if the memory cards hadn't been so ridiculously expensive. I sold mine at the start of the year, but if I could find a jailbroken one with a good-sized card online, I'd be tempted to get a new one.

How quickly we forget that this was very, very nearly not true.

Remember, back in 2011 the 3DS was floundering months out from the Vita's Japanese launch, only for Nintendo to get intensely aggressive by slashing the 3DS's price point to ribbons and releasing 2 future megaton Mario titles back to back right before it launched. Vita actually had a decent launch lineup but it was suddenly far more expensive than the leading competitor and by the time it came out worldwide, 3DS also had Resident Evil Revelations, Kid Icarus Uprising and Kingdom Hearts 3D bolstering its library further with more on the way. Vita simply came out too late and lost too much ground to the 3DS by day 1. Had Sony managed to pull off a July worldwide release it probably could've rode E3 hype to greater success against the then still floundering 3DS. It's truly amazing what a few months difference can make.

I find that hard to believe what you just wrote when there's stuff like Scarlet Grace on the Vita but you probably don't know japanese, then again, I never got on the EO bandwagon myself, there's nothing impressive or unique about it for me, I found them extremely generic and unimpressive on every front, there's much better RPGs on the both the DS and 3DS than those, considerably less on the 3DS, but I'd still prefer playing the Metal Max games or SMT than EO.
