Not a Wow player, FF14 has been steadily bleeding subs for years. It certainly does not have a million active players, it has 500k tops. The endgame is pure garbage, gear progression is garbage, the playerbase is garbage, the late game playerbase is even more garbage. There's no middle here, you have your utterly terrible shitters and you have fflogs spergs. This game is good for autism relief via crafting, gathering, housing and chocobo racing.

I enjoy ffxiv and agree with your post but the rotations in this game are pretty shitty, when its keep up buff/ keep up 2 debuffs with some positionals sprinkled in. I hope SB throws in some cool new mechanics but I doubt there will ever be a huge rehaul.

The higher level you get, the worse it gets until it goes to absolute shit when you try to raid or do ex HW fights. And new players are completely retarded more often than not, they do the entirety of ARR unsynch because they can't be pissed to fuck around with mechanics. Try going into lvl 50 or expert roulette and wipe a couple of times, see how friendly people are. Let's not even mention the content beyond that. PF training parties disband after 5 wipes, farm parties are the epitome of autism. Granted, your average player isn't going past the roulettes anyway so who cares.

Tons of permanent lvl 50 characters too. The levelling in this game is absolutely horrendously tedious. Most people give up by level 50. As stated before, unless you're into crafting and that shit, this game gets boring fast.
