rather than a hub where you choose the next story stage in a menu, they made a 3d map you can explore with different areas around the hub. like you actually have to make it to the next story location. its makes it better gameplay-wise, and they severely cut down on the amount of "defend this stationary thing" missions.
however this makes the focus on battles, but some stages are long as fuck because of it.

It's not exactly like she was enslaved or anything, but it just implies that it was her fate to love you and it overode her feelings for Crispin. Since, after all, you are destined to have the hero as your son, and you need a wife to make that happen.

On a side note, did you guys know that the stat boosting seeds also affect the stat's stat growth on DQV? The Conk/Pip recruitable enemies can be given the MP boosting seeds to make them actually grow a decent MP pool and become much more usable.

Actually in most games the seeds can effect your stat growth since most games have soft caps for stats and if you somehow raised enough via seeds you'd start losing stats per level up.

Most Visual novels, which are basically just words and voice acting, are bloated as hell because Japan doesn't compress shit well and string together code so mediocre you almost wonder how they made a functional product to begin with. The game is on PS4 and Nintendo is not going to localize a game that's being sold on PS4.
If Square decides to localize it themselves, they're not going to do only one version. The text itself is one of the biggest part of the localization but it's the same for all versions, they're not going to pass up the chance to get more sales by selling it on multiple consoles.
Square-Enix just had their best financial year ever so it wouldn't be surprising to see them take on the project themselves
