I have a Xeon and a GTX 980 and it crashes for me less than the PS4 version does. Had like 5 crashes in 90 hours. The game WILL crash eventually, because there are bugs in it, but they have nothing to do with being a bad PC port. The game is just in general buggy on all platforms.

It fixed constant crashes for me (i7 7700k). It used to crash every 5-10 minutes. I've been playing 4 hours with no crashes after disabling cores. Use process lasso to permanently disable cores for nier automata so you don't have to do it every time you launch the game.

Yes, actually, owning an AMD card does make you an idiot. They have a long history of poor compatibility with games and QC problems. At this point R9 290X and 390X are safe to buy, because they've been out so long that the drivers are mature, but buying cutting edge AMD shit is always a 1 way path to tears.

BTW all steam reviews are shit like that. You can't save your face by claiming that now you're suddenly talking about all of them. Steam reviews are shit, period. The only thing they indicate is the potential you'll have technical issues. Bad steam reviews = high probability of technical issues, specially for AMD users. I also have the Fitgirl repack. Game ran fine for the most part (did not install with Win7 compatibility because the instructions said it is only necessary if I had the latest Win10 update which I didn't).

When I reached the desert, I started getting crashes with FAR every now and then. The crash log tells me something fucked up with xinput1_3.dll. I'm not sure if it is because of the rip or the mod or just my DirectX installation.

Watching 2d bushes pop-in and transition to their 3d model is the worst thing. I wish we could go back to PS2 graphics if it meant LOD culling didn't exist.
