I thought ME:A was pretty okay.
Gameplay was fun. Story wasn't bad. The animations, particularly facial animations, were really off-putting, but not to the point where it ruined the rest of it.

Maybe I just don't have that hateful flame in me anymore, but I thought it was decent and ended up finishing it.

This made me think a little.

I think I'd play it if I were paid like 20 bucks, maybe 10 bucks an hr or something.

Don't think I could make it more than a couple hrs even if paid.

MEA was just really boring.
Gameplay was okay, but limiting you to three abilities at a time is just a downgrade from the previous games, and trying to alleviate this through switching profiles activates the cooldown timers on everything and just slows down combat. Also no squadmate customization or commands seems like a baffling exclusion considering the last 3 games.
Also the writing was Joss Whedon tier. Almost everyone tries to be snarky or witty and it just got on my nerves after a while. It reminded me of the Citadel DLC in 3, but at least that was side content.
Also the game is buggy as fuck. I tried doing a missions where you had to follow one of those Twi'lek knock offs through some ruins, but then he just stopped moving after a while, and fast traveling in an attempt to fix it just got him stuck behind a door I couldn't open.

I'm about 10 hours in. I am having fun with it, and it isn't the worst thing I have played, but it defiantly is far worse then the previous three on both a story and writing level.

Dragon Age II was far worse. ME:A is might not be the best in the series, but it is playable and feels like a Mass Effect game. DAII felt like they outsourced it to a random Chinese company to make it and didn't even bother to see that EVERYTHING was a issue.

Yeah, I definitely prefer ME1 and ME2 on pretty much all levels. Like I said, never played ME3 because of how angry I was with that game.

But ME:A isn't bad, imo. Just worse than the originals. A handful of the characters eventually develop some semblance of an arc, and the plot concludes with something more interesting than Ghost Space Kid Solves Every Problem.

Its animations are deplorable, but the rest is just kind of okay to me. I'd even say the gameplay is pretty good.

More then likely they will probably re-evaluate the series, see that there is still fan demand, and either give it to another one of the Bioware studios with more experience or another developer, and figure out if they want to continue the plot of Andromeda or go in a different direction.

Do not fucking buy this fucking game. I pirated the game and the facial animations were awful, bioware fixed it (not all of it) in 1.05 as long with another denuvo patch. God dammit. So I buy the game since i have some disposable income and I got it for 40 bucks, let me tell you some shit.

The game is fucking awful. The most redeeming thing is the combat and that also gets fucking boring because you literally fight the same 10 enemies the entire game , Remnant, The Kett, various raider scum / rebel scum, you get these shitty worm bosses that are just bullet sponges, still easy as fuck but you just have to spend a lot time emptying your entire ammo capacity into a nigga and run and find an ammo box.

The writing is literally an insult to your intelligence, I thought the last worlds were going to get better, nope, more check list shit, the of the last of two worlds is literally the same as Eos lmao. I thought it was decent as well. By decent I mean 5/10, 6/10 at best. It wasn't GOTY, but it wasn't the worst thing I've ever played by any means. The character creator was a letdown, and the characters themselves were annoying at times. The gameplay was nice enough over all to hold it for me though.

Unlike ME1, 2, and 3, however, I don't see ever replaying this. All the fucking loading screens in the Tempest pissed me off royally. They patched in that thing to skip some of the flying when I was almost done with the game, so that would help, but they're still there in rather high quantity. I STILL hate how just boarding the Tempest causes you to take off. Just let me on the ship to check my AVP and shit, don't make me have to take off just to land again immediately.
Even if they somehow fixed that, however, the quests in the game also were annoying. So many fucking multi-planet fetch quests with about 3 minutes of combat involved after going through about 30 loading screens and 2 NPCs of dialogue. Just awful.
