Was WoW REALLY that good /v/?
How would you have reacted if your characters were deleted?

I would have shoved a remote in my ass

I played a lot until WoD. Garrisons were a big mistake...

It was never good. But it was the first of its kind and predated the social network generation, so it had a great community for a long while.

>But it was the first of its kind
Absolutely not true in any sense. It may have been the most popular of its kind, but not the first.

I remember that video
I remember believing that guys act too

I don't need a reason to do that.

It's all relative to the number of PCs and modems as they increased over time. I played Everquest for 5 years before WoW came out. It was not obscure at all among nerds with computers.
WoW really was pretty damn good for the first 5 years. It was steadily declining, though. Wrath of the Lich King was pretty much the last passable expansion. I quit playing halfway through that.
And I quit because of the community, not the game. It was just really, really bad and everytime you logged out you were in a worse mood than when you logged in.

Yeah it was really good. Exploring Azeroth was fantastic.
I deleted my characters myself because I got addicted.
>>376561318
I would go to Help and then write a message to a mod asking to restore my deleted characters.
Also I don't think the video was about deleted characters, but it was about getting his sub cancelled or his profile deleted or something.

I've shoved worse things in my ass for less of a reason.
Vanilla WoW was something else, man. It's hard to believe how fun it was at its prime.
>>376561318
I still play, i have no idea why.

>Diana Ross & The Supremes
Was that a raid on The Blue Oyster?
>>376561318
If you spend enough time on anything you like you tend to get upset when someone deletes all that hard work.

I deleted a character back in TBC and then asked blizzard if they could restore it during cata, they did and it worked obviously.
