Heres what I don't get

How can other AAA games have just 'large room' open areas surrounded by skyboxes and tunnel loading like final fantasy XV, but in BOTW I can go on top of death mountain, spin the camera around at 30 fps, and all the terrain out to the full overworld's distance is active and is affected by collisions, dynamic lighting, shadows, etc, and theres still a huge number of active objects visible in low LoD out in the distance like trees, and also animated models like shrines, towers, dragons, divine beasts, etc

How did Nintendo make this possible on a fucking gameboy when no other game is doing it right on PC?
