Then you'll have to time your attacks very precisely since Landia spends most of the time in the air. Make sure you land multiple hits when he does his gust attack, and land the final charged time attack when he comes to the ground to attack the party. As for your parties, it's more easier if you have 2 swordmasters and a hammerlord. If you don't have the proper equips for those two classes, then use the wandering adventurer and hope someone that does main one of those classes. AI beam mages are terrible against Parallel Landia from my experience, so take that as you will.

I'm doing pretty much everything. Animations all have to be done from scratch and for the art I'm cheating as much as I can (reusing other textures and recoloring others).

For the soundtrack I'm just gonna use Kirby Remixes from OC Remix or something. I managed to rip the models from the original Air Ride for the original machines so that saved time. Also I got a bunch of textures from the Omega form of the Great Cave Offensive in Smash 4 which is really really helpful. If I could get my hands on a rip of the Non-Omega form I'd be so happy.

I'm not really one to use an emulator but it certainly is pretty. A lot of games have very high res models or good styles that are are not as apparent with the 3DS.

Personally, I find that humanization of non-human characters is a hit/miss. It depends heavily upon the artist's creative liberties, paired with their style. At least, that's how it goes for me. I only really like humanizations if they manage to be that "diamond in the rough" kind of image.

I don't think Kirby would work as a fully accurate humanization, because his cuteness and pinkness is a result of his alien race. He's not really considered cute in-universe, he's considered tough. He acts carefree, he's a man of action, he's clumsy, and he is very zen. If you adapt that personality to a character that isn't whatever Kirby is then the juxtaposition is lost and he's not Kirby anymore. I think the human equivalent of Kirby would be like a younger, pudgier Zhao Yun, perhaps wearing red robes, but that obviously isn't as cute and charming or recognizable as Kirby. Which is why people make him a frail little boy dressed like an immature little girl, which is more recognizable as Kirby since they're adapting his race into the humanization instead of disregarding it.

Yep, like I said, it's hit/miss. If the artist is paying attention to the proper traits of the character, as well as their personality, the humanization should generally be okay - then it really just boils down to that artist's style and whether you like the specific piece they made or not. If they don't properly capture the character, then no matter what you do, it's a failure.

That's a fair view. Personally, I think it's kind of fascinating because the Kirby series characters have so many decidedly nonhuman traits and artists have to reconcile those distinct signature traits with a humanoid form.
Also, there's always an undercurrent of silliness in Kirby. Even when he has an angry face it's goofy because, well, he's a pink ball with arm flaps. Humanized versions of characters get a full range of serious emotions, which is why you get to see artists go dark and edgy for this lighthearted kid's game

It probably got cancelled for a reason, and there's no telling what it would've been like (as well as the future of Kirby) if it had gone through because it didn't, so while there's fun in speculation and appreciating what it did promise, it'd be silly to want it to replace game that actually came out.
When you put it that way it basically becomes a vessel for all your hopes and dreams so you can cry at it and no one can prove it wrong since it was never released, so anyone who isn't happy with modern Kirby could say that it would've been everything they wanted and the series would've gone their way afterwards, so they'd say yes in a heartbeat.

I would think otherwise. He's made to look innocent while also tough to others in his planet. So from what we perceive is actually a jolly, cute being that spends his time napping, fishing, and eating. He likes to help strangers and always have a "first impression" sort of rule he lives by. And that should reflect on the humanization when the person draw's him. Then of course you also have people draw him as an shonen protagonist since Kirby likes taking action when the situation present itself. I don't mind how people portray him as such, and they could at times put out amazing drawing as well. But to each their own, although I do agree with your point of view.

The other fascinating thing is that it really opens up the artists' creativity when they do or don't choose to represent something. Then you're tapping into their minds to get their image out. This is why alternate fan art is so awesome to me, because you get to see how the artist is viewing the character(s) and how they feel like they are. It's golden if they hit everything on the checklist for their personality / traits and pull it off well. It's part of the reason why I like crossover stuff as well. Something about show / series A being involved with show / series B in some form is just fun creativity.
