I can only speak for dota, which I've played for 3 years straight before semi-quitting, I only play it like once every 2 week now. In my case it's the absurd dopamine injection you get when you win, which I haven't been able to replicate in any other game I played, except in crazy character action games. Also addiction to said feeling, and the meta and competitive scene having a very strong influence even in normal pubs

Speaking on a personal note, I play LoL as a RTS. Study your build/character/enemy/etc. and outsmart your opponent. There's just something about playing against actual people that makes everything more interesting and there's always people to queue up with unlike actual RTS games where there's only x amount of people playing.

As for Overwatch, it's okay. Mainly play it with friends, but >pic related has brought out childlike enjoyment out of me that I haven't felt in a long time. None of the other events were all too special but I'm low-key hoping for another event like it
