When the player kills a ReDead where there are other ReDeads around, the others will gather towards the fallen one and crouch down. This could mean they are doing one of two things:

Mourning.
Devouring.

I am not from US and I played the game in 2010 aprox (and I am older than you).

It is one of the best games that I played. It's in the same level as Doom, Age of Empires of fun to me.
