Not OP but I bought a PSP cheaply a couple years ago. It's hacked of course, but I wish I could buy a number of games for it, if only for collection sake. Too bad they're either not available at all, or on shit condition (no box etc), or at ridiculous prices if in good condition and with a complete package.

Ridge Racer 2 (PSP, EU Exclusive so you won't find a USA ISO) is the best racing game on PSP, get it if you love racing games. It's literally just Ridge Racer PSP (the launch title) but with a fuckload of extra content.

Every other arcade racing game on the PSP is a straight downgrade in comparison to Ridge Racer 2. It runs at 60FPS and has amazing graphics and gameplay, just like Namco Bandai's other games do on PSP (Tekken 6, Soul Calibur Broken Destiny). That feel when Namco Bandai used to be a seal of quality.

Burnout Legends & Burnout Dominator would be #1 PSP racing games, but they need their respective 60FPS cheats (using cwcheat) to feel playable.

the cheats work the best on PPSSPP, but they work on actual PSP's too using cwcheat (and therefore work in 6.61 adrenaline on a Vita or PSTV also with cwcheat installed to the virtual PSP).

>>

forgot to include this, if you're using an actual PSP/VIta/PSTV make sure you set your GAME Clock Speed to 333MHz (instead of the default 222MHz) to gaurenteed get that silky 60fps in games that support it, and games that have 60fps cheats.

I remember I played it when it came out but I wasn't on /v/ or into gaming culture in general at the time so I don't know if it was popular, but I haven't seen it being disscussed here yet

It's been a long time though, all I remember from it is that the last boss was fairly difficult

Can you play pirate PSX games on the machine without a PSX emulator? I'm aware of the PSP natively running PSX or something, but I don't know if you still need a program to run PSX ISOs

My SD cards are class 4, maybe you are using slower ones?

>>376512878

Yes of course, I have only 6GB left on my psp, and I can use all the games/music and pictures I have on the memory card without any probem

The worst I've ever encountered with a PSP GBA emulator is a game straight up not working (which was fairly rare), or sound delay issues.

I played all of Metroid Fusion on the PSP emulator, and it ran fine.

>It's more of a wrapper and not an emulator

The PSX emulator runs on full cpu clock to handle all of the emulation stated above

Yes. The CPU isn't emulating the PSX CPU, it's the same architecture

nah, these games are universally loved, even this contrarian shithole can't hate it

by the way op get the patapon games too, those are top notch
>>
>>376523180

It's a significant difference. All the I/O ports are completely different, so those need to be trapped and emulated. The GTE is completely absent and needs to be emulated (at a guess using the VFPU).

It's well known within homebrew circles that POPS uses dynamic recompilation to achieve emulation of PSX on PSP.
>>
>>376522936
The compatibility sure as fuck isn't 100%. Rollcage Stage II was never able to run on anything other than the PS2 version of Pops. MK Trilogy is also problematic.
