What are some games that let me travel to spooky alternate dimensions? I already have Half-Life in the bag; one of my favourite games ever.
Pls do not post such scary ayy lmaos. I'm afraid of them. Each time i play xcom i have nightmares.

Don't worry, if there are space faring super advanced ayy lmaos it's most likely that they're actually the peaceful kind.

You have it in your bag? Like, you carry it around? WON version, right? Do you carry a flash drive with the last patch for it?

Dark Seed is probably a bit on the dated side, but it certainly slates your qouta.
Quake is all about spooky hell dimensions, just be sure to get the patch that puts the NIN soundtrack in.
Betrayer's novelty is short lived, but if you can get it for 1$ on sale than it'll have been worth it to you. The same can be said for Reveal the Deep, if you're on board with pixel graphics.
Eldritch is a charming, if not somewhat bizarre mashup of Lovecraft and Minecraft'esque aesthetics with a focus on lethality.
Bloodborne's dream worlds would probably be what you're looking for as well.
Not quite an alternate dimension, but Scanner Sombre gets really unnerving.

Coming from the assumption that not peaceful advanced civilizations will destroy themselves long before they reach the stars?
And yet it's almost as easy to assume that a civilization with the ability to travel through space is an agressive one, for it believes in experiencing the universe through conquest.
Interesting concept mentioned in the book "Blindsight" by Peter Watts. Great sci-fi for those interested.
