I know everyone's joking around, but the most probable term is "frisson", which is defined as "a sudden strong feeling of excitement or fear; a thrill" but is more accurately describing a sudden, passing sensation of excitement, a shudder of emotion from an epic moment of a song, or a climax of a movie. The word's rooted from the French word meaning "Goosebumps" or "Shiver". It has been linked to rises in dopamine levels which is, in turn, linked to your outlook towards others.

For me, the latter sections of Deadly Premonition give me intense frisson, especially the ending.
