Ursula is complete garbage unless you give her blarblade and stack cav meme buffs. Reinhardt and Xander can carry a variety of teams and training them is much more worthwhile. Xander in particular is by far the best welfare unit in the game.

I really think that there's a certain 'set' of units that you are much more likely to draw than others. For instance every other red I pull is a fucking Stahl or Raigh. I almost never see a Lonk or Palla. Likewise I have seen one Shanna but a dozen Ests, even though as far as I know they should have about the same roll rate.

You don't really need to promote anyone. You're a bit weak on Red, but it's not that important in the current meta. Olivia is a fine long-term investment considering she's a Dancer, and you can promote the donut steels if you're concerned about easy Arena bonus points as well. Nino wants a buffer team, and none of your units are exactly ideal for that, but she might be a good investment if she's +Spd. Kagero is also worth considering if she's +Spd, as she's probably the best Colorless unit in the game right now for better or worse.

Ryoma and Ike are nearly identical and his point still stands. Stop sperging so much. The only advantage that Ike does have is a better Defensive Stat, which sacrifices his Res unfortunately. He is also good at triggering Aether really fast, but Lobster has the better Stat spread and with his Res, he can also brush off some mage attacks.

I put a point towards Ike because this new arena meta favors defensive stats greatly, moreover Ike has a far better natural skillset, with natural motherfucking Swordbreaker, Luna, Heavy blade that makes either Luna as fast as Moonbow or Aether as fast as Luna. Ryoma saddly has Defiant Atk which isn't very impressive, Astra which is very useless and Hone Speed which is his best skill.

Stats are very samey, Ryoma has 4 more in speed and 3 more in resistance while Ike has 1 more in HP, 1 more in Atk and 5 more in Def. But you still need tons of investment to make Ryoma as good as Ike as he comes right out of the bat.

Bottom line use who you get and if you have both use who has best IVs. Ike prefers Atk IV and Ryoma definitely prefers Speed IV.

By all means it does. You might meme saying that SI patches everything, but that SP adds up, and you don't want the new gamebreaking meta to hit as soon as you finish building your unit.

Just consider this Ike the two biggest thing Ryoma wants. A good proc Skill in Luna (specially now that the meta favors high defense) and Swordbreaker. Both of these will cost over 1000 SP for Ryoma and Ike will get it for half the price. Ike really only needs a C skill like Hone Atk or Threaten Def and a support skill like Swap or Drag Back.

Honestly, I haven't used Sharena in Arena all that much ever since I got my Cavalry team set up, I mostly use her in quests and training tower.
Usually, she becomes tanky enough to take little damage from reds and hits hard in return, making the 6 damage you take meanigless. And after one round, her Moonbow + Desperation is already set to kill something else, such as the other tanky blues like Ephraim.
