Basically the series is split in two parts: the stealth games and the action-stealth games.
The stealth games are Splinter Cell, Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow, Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory widely regarded as the best stealth game of all time) and Splinter Cell: Double Agent (mixed reception).

The action/stealth games are Splinter Cell: Conviction (disliked by a lot of people because of casualization) and Splinter Cell: Blacklist (very divisive, some people think it's one of the best ones, some people think it's not much better than Conviction, did a controversial change by making Sam younger and changing his VA).

They're all worth playing, it just depends on how much you like stealth gameplay. Personally, I rank them
CT > SC1 > Blacklist > PT > DA > Conviction

Disappointing it wasn't "real" stealth though. I remember the very first gameplay trailers where it was made out to be a Hitman kind of "hide in plain sight" thing.

I still think it turned out pretty fun. The plot was actually great. I really liked edgy emotional renegade Sam. It was way more interesting than the political snorefest plots of the previous games.

Pretty impressive to do that one arm, but literally anyone not turbofat could do that using both of their hands. The only trick is to not try to grab too far away with your arms, just focus on getting that leg up and it's a piece of cake.
