>>376425531
It's okay.
Not great and flawed, but above average.
rain in BOTW
>>376425246
Open world in Witcher 3.
Lootshit in Nioh
>>376425246
>Bloodborne
Blood gems only ever being good for +damage
random crits
Tales of the Abyss. Fonon fields. I hated having special attacks locked behind standing in just the right spot at just the right time. If you don't figure out how to cheese it, you can barely use it at all.
>>376427441
>better economy than EVE
>realer than real graphics
>no latency
>extremely detailed
>turing complete(!)
massive multiplayer with zero instances and a single world that is both huge and incredibly detailed
Look at this shitter and his 8 bit nostalgia
>>376427798
>pay2win
it's shit
>>376427104
What are you even on about, anon?
No armor function in a fucking RPG
I'm looking at you, DaS3
>>376427940
It only introduced a bunch of problems that didn't exist in earlier installments and brought nothing useful except pretty places to look at.
Mounting in MH4U
God, underwater was annoying but mountain just trivialized every fight because now every schmuck tries to mount a monster every ten seconds and you have to wait until they're done mounting and as soon as they're done they try to mount it for the next five minutes
Like fuck hit the monster
Escorting Ashley in Re4
Soul Memory in Dark Souls 2.
I actually like 2 but no other Souls game has as crippling a single flaw as that.
>>376428004
what did you mean by this
what armor functions do you want in souls other than equip and unequip?
>>376428004
RIP poise.
>>376425246
The crouch-jumping in Half-Life. It's like a casual filter even in the tutorial
>>376425246
>Dead Rising
>That fucking walkie talkie
The survivor AI is shitty but can somewhat manage that shit.
>>376428403
An even better point: platforming segments in any FPS
Jesus Christ the start of actual 3D shooters had some really awful design choices
>>376428403
I don't understand how people can't grasp crouch jumping. It is the same execution as pulling off a double jump. Press (or hold) a button at the apex of your jump.
>>376428150
That's like 10% of the game though.
MGS V with its open world and level design in general. Absolutely pathetic and pretty much ruined the game.
Heat management in Lost Planet
Xen levels in Half-Life.
Probably On a Rail also.
>>376428679
And it will never be finished reeeeeeeee!
Cutting you max hp in DaS2, the game becomes playable with 99 hacked effigies
>>376425246
>mandatory motion controls and mandatory gamepad usage IN FIRST PERSON
>>376428271
Transformation like weapons in Bloodborne, of course.
literally using the same enemies throughout the entire game in nioh
>>376428814git gud
>>376425246
I was trying to think of a single bad design choice in the entire MGS series and I'm just stumped. I guess octocamo is kind of OP?!!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!??!?!!?!?!?!
>>376428271
Dunno, maybe an armor that does its job instead of being just a piece of cloth attached to you.
>wear 200+kg armor
>skinny 40kg undead slaps you with his bare hands
>staggered
I seriously prefer the second game just for this reason
>>376428004
>>376428369
>still falling for the poise doesn't exist meme
Now armor defenses aren't that great past a certain threshold but they are still useful especially in PvE.
>>376428696
Fuck you it was fantastic.
>>376425376
Bioshock 2 hacking was fun.
everything about how Rhythm Heaven Megamix is presented
the gameplay itself is fantastic but way the UI, story mode, and extra modes are laid out is annoyingly tedious
>>376429292
Time limits are not good in video games
>>376425246
Chalice dungeons in Bloodborne.
>>376429021
>still useful especially in PvE
Yeah, until i tried ringed city in NG+3, no they are not.Even tried with a max level (800+) havel character, still dies in 3 hits
>>376429534
That's because NG+2 and beyond damage is increased to stupidly high levels so defense doesn't even matter, the only way to not get one shot by certain bosses attacks practically is with Lloyd's Shield Ring.
>>376425246
>Want to switch the NPCs in your party?
>Well you better know their individual schedules and where to find them and teleport around town to go fetch each and every one of them manually!
>Yeah there's a terminal right in front of the barracks dedicated entirely to hiring units for your team, but it's ONLY for hiring other players' avatars! Allowing it to also hire in-game NPCs would have been TOO convenient!
crafting/upgrading in tactics ogre LUCT
>>376428075
It let you really play as a Witcher though, one of my favorite things in that game was travelling around doing contracts.
weapon durability
>Persona 5 hiding mechanics behind social links you have to wait months before you can start on
Jesus fuck I hate the fact that the gun abilities are locked until September even on NG+
>Get shot in Yakuza 0
>stagger and roll on the floor for about 3 seconds
>get up
>shot again
I know there's equipment to avoid this and having 3rd gear heat but it's a bitch sometimes.
Good luck with this faggot when Kiwami releases over in the west.
>>376425246
not giving witcher 3 gameplay
>>376429904
DELETEDELETEDELETELoved Fallout 4 only for that reason
Fast travel in The Witcher 3
Unskippable cutscenes in any game
But especially ffx
you know the fight.
Satellite spam in the first months of nuXCOM
>>376429848
Well you're playing it wrong.
>>376430389
Yep. I'm replaying assassins creed 2 and I find myself quitting the game at various sections because I'm forced to watch 5 minute cutscenes

I hardly felt it :)
I should mod ds3
>>376425246
Mandatory minigame shit that's not done well well like the nose minigame in M&L: BIS
Fetch quests in Nier Automata
>>376431059
>Half the bosses in Devil May Cry 3
You take that back.
>>376431059
>bosses in DMC3
There are no bad bosses in DMC3.
>>376431191
Never.
>>376431213
All of them range from mediocre to shit except Vergil and Agni & Rudra. Doppelganger, Leviathan, and Arkham are especially bad.
>Random elemental immunities on Hell difficulty
Grotto maps in Dragon Quest IX. Good luck finding those those rare high level grottos when the only hint you have is a bunch of trees, a road of dirt doing a small turn into a bridge and the base of a mountain.
Flying enemies in FFXV
Seriously, nobody except Noctis and Prompto can hit them and the camera goes ape-shit with you constantly teleporting through the air. It's a clunky mess
>>376431426
Out of all the complaints you could have done, you picked maps? Really?
>Okay map has a bridge, there aren't many rivers, which one also has a mountain nearby?
>North of Bloomingdale
>>376431352
You're right about Arkham. I actually forgot all about that fight.
>>376431426
wait what is this
I just started an IX I got from a garage sale
The Enigma Cannon in Megaman X5
>>376431352
>Doppelgänger
He can be beaten quickly by hitting back his projectiles and using quicksilver.
>Lethviathan
Targeting one of the organs charges up your DT and mobs can be avoided by staying in the air.
>Arkham
The Katalina Ann is your friend.
>>376432194
Nigger I've beaten those bosses many times, my dislike of them has nothing to do with being able to defeat them. They're just poorly designed.
>>376431750
That was a example I pulled out of my ass, nigger. Here's an actual example, because I'm THAT mad.
>>376431906
Your posts are becoming quite transparent, garage sale-kun.
>>376432473
That looks like the area near the Quarantomb desu.
>>376432473
I'm sorry, I just got it because I heard it was a good series from /v/ but DQ threads are dead and I kind of want to take any opportunity to ask about stuff in it.
>tfw discussion of old game you just bought is as dead as you expect
>>376432668
Just play it dude.
>>376425246
Some weapons in TF2 are so unbelievable shit, wtf is the Bizon.
>>376432880
Don't tell me what to do.
>>376432880
I am.
I enjoy talking with /v/ about the games I am playing though, so even a $3 rpg cart is something. I don't get to buy many games.
>>376433293
Lol you're a fucking nerd, bro.
>>376433343
I'm sorry
>>376425246
>was it /v/?
No.
I don't know if it's a "design choice", but shitty all the same
>any minigame that is literally based around the RNG
I was about ready to toss my computer out my fucking window from that fishing minigame in Trails in the Sky the 3rd.
>>376433502
Fishing minigames are usually literally Hitler. Terraria's fishing system was great though because you could get tons of cool shit from it.
>>376433192
>Bison used to be at least okay because it hit enemies multiple times, especially if they were running backward
>LOL THAT WAS A BUG NOT A FEATURE ORANGE YOU GLAD WE FIXED IT XD
Fuck you valve.

>>376433848
>It was litterly in the loading screen hints
>IT WAS A BUG GOIS!
>>376425246
>inverted camera on the map in P5
Seriously, how could you make a game so perfect and then fuck up something so simple?
>>376431352
You're right about Arkham and Leviathan being shitty bosses.
>>376425246
>witcher sense in TW3
>>376433502
Reminds me of all the times I fought 17 and 18 in Xenoverse for 17's ultimate attack. Fight the battle, pray RNG triggers the second fight that actually drops the skill, then pray again that it drops. And then Dimps nerfed the piss out of it.
>yfw your posts get deleted because the mods live in flyover states
>>376435041
Oh Jesus I remember that shit now.
It's why I dropped XV2, they said they were gonna fix that shit and they didn't fix it at all.
>>376429806
Democracy is a fucking meme that should have died ages ago. The US isn't even a fucking democracy.
>>376435254
>muh flyover states
man i'm gonna be glad when korea gets competent enough to nuke you shit eating coastal fucks
mod confirmed for trumpet
Anyway, lack of ballistic modeling in NU-COM
I hope phoenix point fixes that
