I wish there was a way to charge them separate from the Switch or the battery pack expansion. I was thinking of getting one for good controls for cell phone emulators on the go since most other controllers don't fit in pockets well.

I finally played with this controller with MK8D.
The joycon isn't that terrible (still better than fucking solo Wiimote) but I can already imagine the hurt after several hours/days/months of playing.

I absolutely love them. Aside from my absolutely huge complaint that happens to be the right stick being too close to the 'B' button.
Just look at >>376413356. The thumb is naturally aligned right onto the stick when resting on the 'B' button and it gets in the way all the time.

You have to align your thumb weirdly horizontally to compensate and it's really bothersome.
Being able to play games hands free is an absolutely amazing feeling. And the sticks and the buttons of the joycons are honestly great. But that damn right stick on the right joycon. It was a mistake.

I really, really hope that they'll symmetrical joycons one day. It would solve that entire issue. And I'd buy a right joycon with the stick above the buttons in a heartbeat.
