This is much MUCH more than Bioshock.
For example you can actually go EVERYWHERE on Talos1 while in Bioshock you couldn't visiit the whole city.

Truly inspired story telling. What a satisfying conclusion to 25 hours of roleplaying as Morgan.

I just love how they just allow the player to go where they please and they actually meant it when they said you had a whole station to walk around in. I've spent 3 hours just exploring room to room without being harassed or forced to follow any quests.

It feels like an Elder Scrolls or Fallout game where you're just plopped into a massive environment and left to it.

Difference with Bioshock is you could kept playing after you die. Just leap into a fight, die and revive until you dwindle down the enemies.

A quicksave would revert everything back. You'd have to fight the enemies at full health every time until you learn to beat them.

It's what Bioshock should have been, and in space. It's almost as mechanically deep as SS1/2, has FAR more options and exploration than Bioshock, has actual inventory management with other survival mechanics, and is actually good all the way through unlike Bioshock which goes to absolute shit 2/3 through and never recovers.

System shock 2 was linear as fuck, pretty much a slightly more open bioshock to be honest. this gameplay wise is far superior coupled with the metroidvania esque exploration and replay value. only thing that system shock 2 does better in is atmosphere which is not as great as people make it out to be ( considering how the game kind of dropped the ball towards the end). Prey is what system shock should've been ( expanding on the openness that the first had)

I love my weebshit and I somewhat agree with you. Of all games I played, RE7 was okay, but very small; GR2 was a literal rehash of Vita game without fixing all the problems that game had; Persona 5 was just mildly entertaining, not something that is going to last with me for years; NieR had great story which tackled some interesting themes but gameplay was probably the worst out of all Platinum games. Prey is the first time this year I feel like everything is all-around great and working with me on all levels.
