FPS (D44M, like or hate it Overwatch is at least worth noting, etc.)
RTS (Creative Assembly games)
Sandbox (superpower/goofy sandbox was pretty good in 7th Gen, kind of dead currently, but still within the past 10 years)
Probably some other genres too, but these are the ones where nips underperform compared to the west regardless. WRPGs are in the gutter though, outside of the likes of the Witcher, as are action games in general by and large. And nips are definitely dominating 2017 thus far, it's kind of ridiculous. Still looking forward to Ys Origin and Ys VIII for my Vita.

There are a lot, depending what does it mean good for you. For me it's 7/10 or above, most of the AAA games get 5/10 in my case. My first thought was The Witness, but like i wrote before there are a lot of good western games, unfortunately these are mostly indie games. Western AAA sucks.
