30% of players finished Shovel Knight. Only 8% finished Plague of Shadows, and under 5% finished Specter Knight's campaign, going by Steam's analytics.

That's one sixth of the attention of the original campaign. It's great that it exists, I just feel that they're shooting their long-term viability as a studio in the foot with all this human capitol invested into a near zero-gain.

Well early concept descriptions of the King Knight DLC say he'll have an attack thats sort of like Wario's Shoulder Bash, and that Gold will play a bigger part in this campaign with King Knight being able to spend gold to change the rules of the game.
