Because its UI is outright archaic, it's the same reason I have trouble playing Civ II and SMAX.
Really a shame there's no updated UI mod, anything to structure it even a little bit better. I can manage with the assgraphics but using the UI is just painful when it's all been improved upon significantly since then.
