Ya probably because you don't play her. She isn't the focal point of the story, Geralt is. A good Mary Sue is interesting because they make the protagonists act around how important they are. A bad Mary Sue is a character who trivializes the story.

Well, like most of the series, the character is shrouded in irony. Her origin story is literally a spoof of Hans My Hedgehog, fairytale, and everything from there on is just adding in-jokes and spoofs of the fantasy genre. The first game even cracks a joke at this, when a barman in Murky Waters tells you a story about a girl who was a "Princess, a mage and a witcher at the same time" and Geralt tells him to fuck because it sounds to him like bullshit.

That said, it has been widely agreed that Ciri was always the weakest character in the entirety of the Witcher Saga. I actually think they made her somewhat more likable and human-like in the game compared to the books. She was dull, a mcguffin, inconsistent, and yet the books tried consistently to resassure us how super cool and important and likeable she was supposed to be.

But story-and-lore-wise she does not even compare to him. She is still physically human, and she actually isn't supposed to have any special powers like the teleport dashes. She used to have some magic power, but lost all of them in the desert in the Unicorn accident.

I like Ciri because she is literally perfect and can do everything without fault.
