>/v/ is now against piracy, modding and physical media
>it's the only board that does this
No, it's just a vocal minority of retards.
>now
it's been like this forever
>>376322116
Stealing is stealing. Get out of here. Thieves aren't welcome. We pay for our games here.
Contrarian children or good corporate goys.
>>376322218
>its been like this
never happened in 2015 and only saw a few of this shit in 2016. been here for 9 years
>>376322116
Falseflagging leafs. See >>376322218
Anyone got that image that shows /tv/, /g/, /co/, /a/, etc fine with piracy, but /v/ is completely against it?
>>376322416
>>376322435
Thanks m8, I was looking for that.
>/v/ is composed by literal teenagers and manchildren
>they need to rationalize why they spend real life money with toys while pretending to "save the industry" or anything like that
that's how it rolls, I'd love to have a company and kids defending my product in my place
It's only falseflagging
The general consensus is buy multiplayer games and pirate single player games
Because there's no other way to support a game dev than buying the game.
>>376322435
I'm trying to recognize the one way to the far left, that's /c/ right?
>>376323763
/mu/
>>376322116
we're not against it
it's literally that /v/ piratefags are the worst and smug about it
holy shit
>>376322595
yeah i'm sure you'd like something legitimate for once in your criminal scum life.
>>376322116
It's almost like they're paid for it, right? Really makes me think
>>376323845
Oh, from the In the Aeroplane Over the Sea album. Silly me. And the middle dude is /a/, not /jp/.
>>376322435
/g/ has same problem
>>>/g/60276899
>>376322218
I got invited to bitgamer twice on /v/. it was never like this.
If you are against piracy you are a shill and should be treated as such.
>>376322116
>/v/ is one person
busta, straight busta.
>>376322295
Speak for yourself payfag
>>376322116
It's the janitors fault, mate.
>>376324156
and it got obliterated and derailed if you actually read the thread. /g/ is notorious for fighting against shills.
/v/ on the other hand, gobbles it all up
>>376324156
That has to be bait.
>>376322218
Bullshit.
I lurk here since 10 years and this place is a bastion of piracy and the free internet that you corporate dicksucking shills want to ruin so badly
>>376322116
Times change. /v/ isn't the same people you used to know
>>376322116
only happen when
bestheda shill
blizzard shill
weeb shill
come to this board , so reddit and neogaf in resume.
never see a guy defending a ubisoft game against piracy
>>376322435
It would be really funny if /g/ started trying to convince everyone they need to buy a liscensed version of Office.
>>376324356
Yeah, except all those newfags and >>>/r/edditors have no place here and should just go back to ledit or lurk a few years.
>>376322295
get fucked moralfag, go back leddit with the rest of them
>>376324356
This.
I'd say more than half of people here are shills or just looking for (You)s.
>>376322116
>be me back in college
>can't afford anything
>pirate my vidya, if I could buy it I would
>doesn't support developer
>feel like shit if the game is good
>be me now
>can afford anything
>buy my vidya, support the developers, which gets everyone better games in the future
Only reason you should pirate is if you're a poorfag. If you're not then you're a faggot.
/v/ just likes to argue and shitpost
>>376322116
>Against Piracy
Debatable

No and you're an idiot.

Because they all multiplayer games right now. Still there are plenty of ubishills
>>376324605
Yeah let me give my hard-earned money to some corporate jews that ruin gaming.
I will never, ever pay for AAA-games.

there are people defending paid mod remember.
what's happeedn to /v?
>>376324936
Just like that guy that wouldn't stop making silly pirating analogy threads, the same basically happened with mods. Both are probably in (you) debt.
>>376322116
Becuase more then halve of the posters here are console fags.
They are against piracy becuase they cant .
>>376324156

/g/ here
since when you guys started being against piracy?
>>376325735
Since when have you become poor? Oh right, after you blew all your cash on 7 monitors.
>>376325735
Since it became the new ironic shitposting
>>376325735
Shills have taken over a few years ago. Sad how on /g/ anti-piracy threads get told to fuck off while on /v/ half the thread will defend it.
/fa/ here
what's wrong with piracy?
>>376325915
nothing its like wearing designer knockoffs.
>>376325907
>>376325812
just derail the threads like we do? easy peasy just post a roll image or something
/k/ here
Nothing wrong with piracy cause someday we'll need to 3D print our guns and the government wont let us!
>>376322295
>Stealing is stealing.
And piracy is piracy, no idea why you compare two different things.
>>376325686
Lol, the cuck that is >>376324936 can't even back his own words with facts
>>376326339
That's because you don't have an argument when you're the one objecting. You are the person that has to prove something to me. I can't tear you a new asshole when I don't know how many assholes you already have, I need specifics. Where do I tear you this asshole? I can't tell without knowing your shit opinions. Go on. I'm waiting.
/3/ here

>>376326609
Lol, you said
>"point me to one person against modding and i will tear them a new asshole"
Verbatim
I pointed myself
And you still ain't delivering
>>376322218
>ILL JUST PRETEND TO BE LE OLD FAG AND NOBODY WILL NOTICE
hang yourself shill
>>376322116
supporting both physical media and piracy
>>376325668
But pirating is devilish
>>376326803
Listen cock mongler, for all I know you could just be pointing to yourself to make me tired and waste my good time and energy yelling at a sack of bricks. I'm not going to argue with someone who isn't going to argue. You don't hate mods because hating a productive skill-building activity that results in something that only offers a more diverse spread of content to the game is fucking retarded on every level imaginable. The content of said content may be held of questionable taste, but even if not genuinely good or wanted by anyone with a sane person, it builds a skill in some form in its creation and provides an abstract form of enjoyment similar to straight people watching Billy Herrington videos.
No rational mind would ever say mods are bad, which is why I won't spend eight hours arguing with you about why modding is good if you only say "modding is bad," because obviously you're shitting me.
>>376327754
You want reasons you limpdick? I'll give you reasons.
It artificially extends the lifetime of a game past the point where it should have died, it keeps it in life support.
This means a old game keeps occupying the niche for far too long and thus stifle progress because Game:2 will elicit a thousand of
>REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE IS NOT Game:1 WITH MODS NOT BUYING REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Thus lowering the amount of sales and killing the series for good since it made a net loss.
It also enables developers to release buggy unfinished messes (bethesda, minecrap, etc) because modders will fix it for free. If you are lucky then some of the mods will be implemented into the main game without credits to the author (again minecrap, pistons and enderchests), so long sucker and thanks fo the free work.
Modding enables shovelware and shitty development practices.
>>376325735
Since when /r/4chan was created?
>>376324490
>>376324598
Be the change you want.
Make good threads, report bad threads/posts. Do not respond to shitposters etc
>>376326146
Funny enough, people who try to derail the thread with those posts get banned more than obvious shill/shitposters.
>>376325735
>>376322116
Ever since the console vs PC shitposting got so bad that "le pirate cucks" became a legit part of the shitposting arsenal.
Blame shitposters on both sides getting people to unironically defend denuvo and shit on modding. Nowadays, anything goes. I don't even think its falseflagging anymore. /v/irgins really are that stupid.
>>376322116
How gullible can you get?

>>376322116
>/v/ is against modding
Since when?
>>376328483
I don't know about you, but I am personally looking forward to Mount and Blade Bannerlord. It brings a lot of new features and mechanics to the table, especially in sieges. I loved the modding scene for Warband, but despite how invested I am in my modded game, Bannerlord brings too much to the table for me, and certainly experienced modders who could rework these frameworks into new and creative ideas, to ignore, unlike some other games where the developers are creatively bankrupt and can't think of unique ways to influence how the game is actually played.
A game that tolerates modability does have to be differently designed from a regular closed-source game, I admit, and a sequel even moreso. You can't get away with just tacking on a base building mechanic and some cinemactic "features" and calling it done. You have to be more creative in what you make in a sequel. You have to make the sequel not a mod of the original game, or at least a very expansive and interesting one.
All of your complaints are of bad developers, not modding itself. That's like blaming alcohol for the alcoholic. It's bad practice mixing with technique and open-source development.
>taking anything seriously on /v/
It's nothing but a giant shitpost.
Most of you faggots have terrible taste in games, anyways.
i pirate all video games just to see if i like them and i can run them, after all american devs don't do demos anymore, so how can i know the game is not a buggy piece of shit on release day like andromeda or the game is shit in general like battlefield1?
>>376322295
Copyright infringement is not stealing, comrade)
>>376329852
>That's like blaming alcohol for the alcoholic
If alcohol didn't exist then there wouldn't be drunkards
It's b8ing/shitposting faggots, actual shills and a handful of r*dditor newfags that think they are in good company.
>>376330473
They already are.
Smells like mustard in this thread. The fries are ready, pajeet.
