can one enjoy Fallout after experiencing the wonderful realistic autism that is STALKER?

Maybe the older fallouts for how brutal they can be. Also NV Hardcore mode but, You are still not going to find the level of autistic realism that stalker has.

Bethesda Fallout? Hell no, STALKER just scratches that itch a lot better. New Vegas, 1 and 2 are fine to enjoy though, they're strange and interesting.

New Vegas with some difficulty mods and hardcore mode can be pretty rough. Not like Stalker, but still, harder than anything in the base game
New Vegas is good for quests, factions, roleplaying
Stalker is good for gunplay, semi-realism, atmosphere, and spookiness

Kinda. I've tried to mod Fallout 4 so that it's a bit more like Fallout, but the shooting and enemy AI never really compares. That and even with a 1060 and i5 processor, Fallout 4 runs like complete shit while modded Stalker with vsync gives me a perfectly smooth 60 fps.

Fallout was never meant to be "realistic"

They're two different genres, one is shit-cobbled-together apocalyptic, and one is gasmask realism apocalyptic.

Actually there are three different genres.
Fallout 1, 2 and New Vegas - Post-Post Apocalyptic
Fallout 3 and 4 - Post Apocalyptic
STALKER - Apocalyptic Punk
