I think she is really cute and a fine waifu, but as a character she is very weak, her interactions with the PT are bland at best, wich is a shame. I think she actually had a strong intro, being in control and pointing out the PT had lost sight of their original goal, but they dropped the ball with her really fast.

I thought everything with Okamura came up really fucking fast compared to previous palaces. Haru got shoved in really quickly, when the other characters got more development. Ryuji is there from the start, you learn about Ann as you go through Kamoshida's palace, Makoto stalks you for a while, and Futaba has her own entire palace. Yusuke was kind of thrown in quickly too I felt but he's a lovable autist so I forgive him, also being the third palace gave him more screen time for the whole game.

Man her entire confidant felt like it was designed to pander to coffee hipsters like me. I felt ready to dismiss her until she started growing the beans and making coffee, hanging out with Sojiro and decided to open up a cafe. She ain't popular but she's still best girl to me

Coffee specifically isn't really my cup of tea, but I do like gardening and love that she just wants to live a peaceful life running a coffee shop. Haru just appeals to me on every level.

Okumura's lack of development is thematically justified desu.

The job against him comes at a point when the Thieves become obsessed with fame and hitting big targets so don't really do any research into him.

They just see he's got a Palace and attack.

Guess it gives you flexibility in how you want to build her. I had to look up what skills she was going to learn so I didn't accidentally remove a skill that would be useful further down the line.

Yeah I kind of get that and the whole feeling of dread the situation was making because of evil baldingman talking about setting up the thieves before it happened, but by proxy it just made Haru's intro feel rushed compared to everyone else. Like, Morgana got more focus than her during the intro to that palace. I guess you do randomly see her once or twice before hand but you never know who the fuck she is or why she matters until you see her in Phantom Thief gear.
