ITT: Headphones you use for vidya and your thoughts about them.I can hear enemy footsteps from damn near across the map and pinpoint the direction.
they are decent. Will probably upgrade within the year
>Audio technica ATH-M20X
Quite good for the price.
Comfy and great sound, best to replace the pads every 8-12 months.
>tfw always use speakers
>>376225046
>not getting the superior dt990
>>376225260
>piercing your ears with the worst tremble canons on the market
>>376226135
>hearing nothing but muffled shit from inferior closed back headphones and using the 80hms like a poorfag with no amp
>buy an AKG 712 Pro
>it's dead on arrival
>>376226221
>implying you need an amp to drive dt 990 250
>implying you can't use an amp with dt 770s
Are you fucking retarded? You sound like someone who visited /g/ once and thinks he knows anything.
>>376226372
>thinks generic motherboard can power up to 250ohms
not everyone has a faggy gaymur mobo cunt
and dt770 80ohms don't need an amp they run off a toaster friendo
get fucked
>>376226735
So do the DT 990 600 ohm. What's your point here?
>>376226801
if you think you can truly run 600ohm headphones without an amp you're either baiting/don't understand headphones at all or just plain retarded
probably a beautiful mix of all 3
>>376221932
AKG701
I don't really like open headphones but whatever I guess
>>376227059
If you think a fucking laptop can't run DT 990 600 ohm then you simply have never tried it. You'll need a fucking amp for your shitty phone or whatever, but if you hook them up to a PC you'll have no fucking trouble whatsoever. It all depends on the source, you can't make a fucking general statement like that and pretend you know anything.
>>376227543
>thinks 600ohms will run off a laptop
i'm so done xDDD
my hyperx cloud 2s died.
what do i replace em with, they were amazing but died after 3 years.
>>376229243
superlux hd 681 EVO + V-Moda Boompro
probably needs a small adapter
Best cheap headset I've ever owned.Gone some sony ones i can't remember the model of for music, they're pretty nice too
>>376221932
I'm thinking of getting these, like the open cans
do these require an audio interface or just plug into motherboard?
>>376230869
are those the gamecon780?
my nigger i had them years ago as my first ever 7.1 headset, moved onto the RIG500hd and i hate them. thinking of moving over to some rlly expensive beyerdynamic or akg very soon
I bought them for sound production but they double as a great pair of headphones in general.
>cheap ass generic panasonic rp-djs200
They are okay, but I need some new ones, mine are literally taped/glued/melted together from falling off.
and OP, is the sound bleeding too terrible to use those headphones while using voice chat?
I don't want to annoy my friends with noise from my game.
Any good headphones for usd 650 budget?
I already have an audio card asus xonar essence stx,
Can it be used as a replacement for dac or amp?
p good, but a bit overpriced. HD600/650 would be better value.
USB Dacs are a meme. Xonar STX will drive a hd600/650 just fine and has minimal noise.
Pretty good for 30 bucks, even though I hurt my ears after a while.
>>376235059
Is that a HD700 or HD800? Are there much differences?
I considered it before and I was worried my xonar stx alone won't be enough to drive them.
Philips shp9500, really comfortable.
>>376235537
It's a hd800. I heard the hd700 (haven't tried it personally) is kinda meh.
I still use my hd600 at times, and they are god cans.
The xonar stx can drive the hd800s and hd600, but I guess it would pair best with hd650. I own a STX card, but I mainly use my lovelycube premium to drive my cans these days.
HD600/650 is serviceable (headband, cushions, cables and p much everything can be replaced by owner). Not to mention resale value/ease of selling.
>>376235768
I've heard good things about the sound as well. Are cables/cushions/headband replacable?
So light and comfortable I forget I'm wearing them. Angled 70mm drivers = fuckhuge soundstage which makes virtual surround in the vidya incredible. Have been faithfully comfortable for years now.
>>376235273
my nigga
>>376236581
>Are cablescushions/headband replacable?
Cables yes, headband no. Earpads not oficially, but its pretty easy to do without breaking anything. I've done it once to wash them.
https://youtu.be/VW2txDV5UNQ?t=76
Audio is pretty good too, but I don't have much to compare. My previous philips had ok sound and the closed sony sucked ass and were uncomfortable.
>>376221932
I like these with the boom pro mic
>>376227747
Not even the guy you were talking to, but good.
I use the 7xx's, they're my first audiophile type headphones so I can't give a good comparison, but I still think they sound amazing and love them.
Bought these after a /g/ poorfag recommendation
Super cheap, decent quality and most importantly super light. I hate bulky headsets and these are great, would recommend.
>>376236834
Looks rad.
Good albeit a bit expensive. Pretty solid with music. No complaints as far as audio in gaming goes. Only real complaint is after 7 or so years the padding has gotten real thin and now they bruise my ears if I wear them without a beanie or for too long.
Replacing them with Audiotechnica AT M50X'
>>376237826
Fugg
>>376238084
I see a lot of people wearing these about around town.
>>376238209
Same here, mostly poor hipster fags though.
>>376221932
I have those headphones and those retarded wings on top constantly have it sliding down on my head, making my ears hurt.
My DT990's however, I've never had a more comfortable pair of headphones.
>>376238209
>>376238401
I understand why, pretty sure they were made to be used on the go since they're really light and fold up flat.
>>376221932
>he doesn't prioritise comfort when gaming
for me, it's the Koss PortaPros.
shit's like wearing air
superlux 681, cheap and good
Sony MDR-1A
Incredibly comfortanle andnpretty light, like cushions you cant feel on your ears, havebused them fornours without discomfort.
Soundnis a bit more on bassy side, but plenty good overall. Worth the buck
