It was based on the popular animated series and was on a popular games console. Don't be daft, it's not like they're saying they grew up playing Hotel Mario.

Most Sega non RPG outside of big franchises were mostly shitty. Valis 3 and vectorman were good rentals tho. shadowrun was best on genesis (you cannot deny this). Mutant league hockey was also badass on genesis. But overall i struck out the most in the genesis aisle -- NES rentals were always hit and misses because back then they fooled you hard with amazing video game cover art so you could only imagine how the game played. If anyone ever rented / bought Hydlide for NES you know that feel.

That happened to me, except there was a massive flood that shut off the road between my house and the rental place for over a month.

They tried to charge me fees and I told them to suck a dick, the road was closed and I couldn't get here. They're lucky I returned it at all.

The NES X-Men game by LJN that AVGN reviewed. I rented it all excited, because I thought it was a port of the arcade game, but turned it off after five minutes out of sheer disgust. I had a similar experience with the first NES Ninja Turtles game, but I at least managed to have a little bit of fun with that one before I got to the dam part.
