They aren't even in the same league. I can't be assed to point out everything about it but off the top of my head:

- Three different vehicles that all handle differently
- You can change drift direction mid-drift, which is goddamn essential as later tracks feature S-shaped curves all over the place
- Stunts can be done in four different directions, which in turn affects your trajectory as you leave the ramp: This allows you to manipulate where you land. In addition, stunts can be done multiple time throughout the jump to increase your boost upon landing: You need to mind that you have to finish the stunt animation before hitting the ground as you'll fail otherwise and lose out on your boosts
- Any item (Including the games equivalelent of the blue shell) can be dodged
- ITS FAST AS FUCKING SHIT GODDAMN

Overall it's a fantastic game

You can change the direction you're traveling in the middle of a long drift, e.g., you're transitioning from a left turn to a right turn and instead of exiting the drift and starting a new one you can just change your steering direction and continue the drift through both corners.
