My favourite female protagonist is Kat, to be honest. Second favourite is probably Lara Croft, the pre-reboot one.

Aloy just feels like a written character. Not sure how to even explain it. There's something stiff about her writing/VA.

Aloy can never compete with Samus because Samus is an excellent vessel for the player's adventure which is all any game player asks of their protagonist. Aloy is Guerilla Games trying to have their cake and eat it too by making her a female warrior character but at the same time trying to give her that cutesy Ellen Paige personality type where she never shuts THE FUCK UP and has to try to have something clever to say every other moment in order to impress the faggot beta male playing as her with how strong and yet twee she is.
