I've never been scared by a video game or a movie past the age of 12. But if one of these fuckers appears in my vicinity I freak the fuck out.

Fun fact: these insects are 100% harmless, they can't bite, sting, or cause any harm to anything, and survive entirely on eating fruit.

They're probably the dumbest insect in existence, they can barely fly due to their size, it's not like they fly in your face on purpose. I've read somewhere that they may go extinct because they're targeted by insecticides and due to their clumsiness they fly in traffic or get stuck in human structures, getting killed in the process. I feel bad for them but they're retardedly spoopy for me, some time ago I had one trapped between my blinds and window, and I couldn't open the window to get it out so I waited like a week with my window closed until it died. I could barely look at it through the glass, it looks absolutely repulsive.
