Why does Dota2 update every single day?
Why does it take so long when it used to be a 3mb map file?
800 terabytes of hats
>>376084264
Because DUDE LOCALIZATION FILES LMAO
Your hard drive a shit, too
>>376084662
That's TF2
>>376084662
So wait, you're telling me that the hats are already downloaded on my computer, but I have to buy them in order to use them?
>>376084775
That's also Dota 2
>>376084928
Yeah, how else would it work? How else would your client have the information required to render the hats other people are wearing?
This is how cosmetics and general content works in everything
>>376085005
So, Valve is storing their inventory on my computer, but I have to pay them?
>>376085092
yes
and you do it willingly.
>>376085092
If that's what you want to call installing a game, sure
>>376084264
To break the game
>>376085140
Willingly? Hardly. The downloads are automatic.
>>376084264
best thing to come out of dota 2 is fucking over
unfortunately theres not a lot you can do about that
>>376085258
Willingly because you choose to have the game installed
>game constantly updating is a bad thing
I want new /v/ to leave.
>>376085258
The game doesn't install itself
You have to initially install it for it to start updating itself
the constant updating is localization files and other miscellaneous memes
the large sizes are because their delta updating sucks dicks. if a file changes a single bit you have to download the entire thing again, and the files are not all that split up
>>376085092
Are you this fucking stupid? How would you be able to see cosmetics other players have but you don't if you didn't have to download them beforehand?
Is that seriously your whole steam library?
>>376084264
>>376084264
I just experienced a deja vu
>>376086280
>>376086717
>>376085446
>chi long qua

>>376084264

t. Australian
>>376086029
Obviously, they're to be downloaded whenever they're seen. You don't go around parking cars in people's drive way in anticipation that they, or their neighbors are going to buy that car.
I mean, is this on-disk DLC?
