Haru's social link has one of the few adults in the game that you think is evil but actually turns out to be a bro. It makes it stand out and it was a nice change of pace. Also you get to see the reprecussions of what happens to her and the company after the story related dungeon. It's a good Confidant.

No, you can't do anything like that with P2 and 3 in which characters develop through the course of the game.

Mitsuru and Yukari start as bitchy toward each other, and at the end of the game they are pretty different. And this is without getting in P2 cast, even the weak links like Ulala gets more development like all P5 combined.

No Persona game ever has a memorable or particularly likable cast. Only game that came close was P2, both games. All it ever consists of is a bunch of insecure hot people that have a little interaction with each other and are associated with some trope and that's about it.

On the whole, it actually reminds me of the friends I made in high school - I didn't particularly care about them and their melodrama, either, and found it ridiculously shallow. So I guess Atlus is onto something.
