It definitely wasn't the best in the series, I can even agree to it being the worst in the series, but Dark souls 2 is still a really good game in general. I don't see why one has to been seen as worse than the others if they're all solid games in their own right.

Haven't finished DaS2 yet. I keep dropping it after a while because I just feel like I'm wandering aimlessly until I stumble into a boss door, and those bosses aren't particularly interesting either.

It's actually spoonfed pretty early on and it's not particularly bad, but it did rely quite a bit on a sequel actually wrapping things up for Bearer of the Curse's story.

if letters are in lower case, character strings they've deemed offensive are censored. I was nearly at the end of the game before I realised my pure bow character "Robin Hood" was showing as "Robin **od". Anyone with "Knight" in their name will appear as "K***ht".

But you can completely bypass the censor if you use capital letters, so Knight is censored as the "nig" part is all lower-case, but if you used "Night" in your name it would be completely uncensored because of the capital N, also for some reason the filter isn't in place on PS4.

I have BB, its the most dumbed down and easy. Has some of the worst bosses in any souls game. It's overworld enemies are mostly just avoiding an enemies ai loop nothing they do is reactionary to your attacks. Unless its a hunter, and most of their ai is broken, and have infinite bullets if you put some space between you. Bullshit grab enemies. Frenzy is the worst status effect ever created. Chalice Dungeons are just fluff because they ran out of real level ideas. Gimmick gun, gimmick trick weapons. I like some stuff, but it being my most recent From game makes all it's flaws that much more apparent. I haven't really enjoyed a boss fight since Gasoline and BsB. I'm in the DLC now and see its improvements. But Ludwig was a pushover to be built up as such a great boss.

Can we all agree that in every souls game its all down hill past the first level?

The castle in demon souls, Undead Parish, Forest of the Fallen Giants, and yarnham are all easily the best levels of their games
