Dark Souls 3 DLC:

Yeah that's because Old Hunters was originally going to be released as two separate dlcs, but it wound up being combined into one. If you want to do a worthwhile comparison, you should honestly consider Ashes and Ringed City to be one combined continuous entry.

Souls has never been good for lore or story, at least Bloodborne was unique in its setting and story. The DaS games are the exact fucking same and their stories hold no bigger meaning at all
