Original Crysis up until the aliens are introduced, Crysis Warhead and Crysis 3 are actually decent if you are looking for something of the same caliber of Call of Duty.
Maybe Wolfenstein, Quake 1 and 2 and Doom are worth a look if you want some old school action.
Then, if you want some modern military memes, then try early Medal of Honor

That first new Medal of Honor that came out an 2010 was enjoyable. The sniping level is superb. Working with your spotter to kill sand niggers was cool. Plus the bullets destroyed their bodies since it was .50 cal.

Infinite Warfare is an exception as well. While the story was top tier sci-fi, the levels were too claustrophobic and awkward to have fun with any of the movement mechanics or weapons.

Exploring the ship and playing with the shooting range were great though. it had stronger Mass Effect vibes that ME3/Andromeda.

It has really good exploration, questing, level design and aesthetics, but drops the ball hardcore when it comes to the story.

Its worthy of a playtrough but its not better than HR.
