Fuck I never played the earlier versions but I played so much ET as a kid i loved the shit out of that game.

Wolfenstein 3D is extremely underrated and misunderstood by most people and is largely dismissed as something that is surpassed in every way by Doom even though it has many unique gameplay qualities of its own that make it more akin to a tactical shooter on crack. Though it is somewhat understandable because the stock levels are mostly shit. More people should have a look at the Spear of Destiny prequel which had much better level design in comparison.

I played Wolf3D as a kid, but looking back at it now, it's not a good game. The damage system makes it unbearable to play. Doom however is fantastic.

Still has my favorite chaingun sounds.

Music is alright too.

I need that chaingun sound in a not shit quality.
