2) games release buggy and unoptimized as fuck even on consoles these days, giving them time to patch shit up

literally no reason to buy games on release unless you're a gullible faggot who falls for shilling and "hype"

Happy with Nioh and HZD for full price and would have bought Bloodborne for $60 if I had a PS4 when it came out and it didn't happen to be on sale recently, but I've been disappointed with some games for full price.
Can't wait for Nintendo games to drop because they literally never do, so might as well buy those on release.

I really don't see a point in buying games day one, unless you have zero backlog. When you buy them later, besides being cheaper, they often get a lot if patches and goty editions, to the point where you'll have a vastly better experience playing games later and dlc actually becomes a good thing.
