I actually hear the Naruto: Ultimate Storm games were really good and the best way to experience the story. Also some of the DBZ Budokai games were pretty good as well.

Anime based off games aren't usually the greatest, but Steins;Gate and the Fate Stay Night animes were really good. If you want anime that use video games as theme/basis, then Overlord and Log Horizon are good choices as well.

The naruto games are alright. Note when I'm talking about good games it's because I have standards. I only consider 2D games actually good. But some 3d games can be fine timewasters (naruto included) it's just nto really something you play for depth but it is entertainment nonetheless.

I forgot to mention, if you want games that feel anime as fuck in there presentation and decent battle systems (for a JRPG at least) then the Tales Of games can fill that niche as well.

Tales of Symphonia, Tales of Vesperia, Tales of the Abyss, and Tales of Berseria are the best 3D ones and probably the best ones to start off with. I would reccomend watching a let's play/reading a plot synopsis of Tales of Zestiria before playing Berseria though, and play Berseria before you watch the Zestiria anime because the Zestiria anime has major Berseria spoilers in it.

I'm pretty sure most 'Tales Of' games have anime adaptations as well, Zestiria is by ufotable and seems pretty decent production value wise.

I'm not trying to be an antagonistic dick, but I must say I found the Ninja Storm games pretty awful. They graphics are good, the animations are stellar and all the attacks look right, but the actual gameplay is so shallow that I'd much rather play Clash of Ninja, which although it's ugly as sin in comparison is actually a surprisingly competent fighting game that me and my friends have sunk dozens of hours into. Sadly it gets overlooked a lot because Ninja Storm is so much prettier.

Regarding Naruto the manga/anime I used to love it until the big Ninja war part and the insane power creep that happened right after Madara vs 5 kages.

Most of the One Piece games are pretty good. I recommend Grand Battle, Unlimited Adventure, Pirate Warriors 3, and Burning Blood.
As for other animes, there's Naruto Ultimate Ninja, Super Dragon Ball Z, and Budokai Tenkaichi 2 and 3

This. The Digital Colored Comics are the way to go. I find PW3 actually an insult with their re-enactments of the finisher moves. The anime is so fucking overrated. It looks like trash art-style wise thank good for the manga in color.

Yeah, Ultimate Ninja Storm is NOT a serious fighting game, but it does a great job of creating a spectacle.

And as far as anime based off games go, there's always the classic example of Gungrave. The two games were entirely forgettable PS2 shooters, but the anime is a really good mobster story that ends up getting fucking weird to tie into the game's plot. I'd recommend it.
