I think that "scary" is too strong a word, but Little Nightmares has a really nice eerie atmosphere to it. Probably better to wait until it's 50% off though, $20 is far too much to ask for a three hour game.

I thought it was a fine ending, personally. It was cool that the main character wound up being the daughter of the witch instead of just some innocent kid.

But I really think it would have benefited from having at least one more stage, as well as making the final segment in the witch's living quarters longer. I could easily envision them fitting in some kind of "Boiler Room" level between the Janitor and the Chefs, with some big meaty fucker responsible for keeping the Maw's engines going and stoking the fires for the ovens overhead. A few more rooms in the last segment before the final room where you need to avoid the witch's gaze and desperately run from hiding place to hiding place would have made the final confrontation where you get to fight back a little more satisfying.

Hello what movie thanks

PT is terrifying, easily the scariest thing I've played. Yeah, it has shitty jump scares but the suspense is unreal.

Resident Evil 7 was also pretty scary, but again a lot of it was jump scares, although the part where you go to the Children's room to get the arm is so unsettling just for the atmosphere and there's no jump scares.

Silent Hill 2 was probably one of the most uncomfortable games I've ever played the first time around.

Why bother living? The Metro games only do so much. There's not even been attempts to have a stalker clone kind of game. You think people would have done it by now. The best chance we'll have is if 4A makes an open world Metro game where you can fuck around and go anywhere and do stuff on your own time. GSC just made Cossacks 3 and I don't know if they made enough money from that to fund another STALKER title, and at this point if it's missing so many of the original devs would it be worth it? I just don't know anymore. Thank god for Call of Chernobyl though, that's keeping the game immortal.
