I haven't played that game much, but it wasn't very good iirc. I remember the controls feeling really weird, like the cars were on tracks or something.

If you want a good arcade racer from that era, you should give blur a try. It's basicly mario kart with cars and very good at that. While good on it's own, it gets exceptional when you play it with friends.

Check out this one if you're haven't already. The PS3 version the same game with updated graphics, so that's okay to pick up too.

Which games are you talking about? I haven't played any of the arcade games, just the ps2 and ps3 ones by Genki and those are very similar to the tokyo xtreme racers.
