It can be, if you're solo and on vanilla it's obviously not easy if you want a large base.

It's in the best state it was ever in.

XP system was horrible cancer, blueprint system was awful not not as bad, slaves were nice.

Component system definitely needs the work Helk has talked.

He wants to eventually change it so every story costs significantly more, geared players will be much further inland, not slaughtering noobs for components or wood, etc.
