Just go to the Homebrew general in /vg/, they have a guide there to hack games.
You are going to need a big SD or microSD with SD adapter to install games, though.

Just download the FreeShop utility, you can literally download anything from the eShop for free because of title key exploits.

So I started hacking my 3ds about a week or two ago, but then left for my vacation. I got about half-way through the process but then had to pick up and go.
