Hey /v/
My left hand started to hurt (especially the thumb) and I'm kind of interested in getting a hitbox or any ergonomic controller. I haven't tried it, is it good or bad?

I have one and I think it's pretty good. It's like playing on a keyboard but the buttons are more conveniently aligned. Can't promise it will fix your hand though.

So long it makes my hand feel uncomfortable then I'm okay with it. I guess I just put too much stress on my thumb

doesn't make my hand feel uncomfortable*
Fuck, that was embarrassing

i don't understand, does your hand hurt from playing with a normal controller? or with a keyboard? or with an arcade stick? do you specifically refer to fighting games here?
>>375895032
I mostly play fighting games on pad, and pad hurts my thumb. So at the moment I want a decent controller for them
Dunno what to do about other games though.

Why purchase a hitbox when it's probably just easier to mod any other stick you already have lying around?
I think for me its better for some things and worse for others but its really a matter of familiarity, once you're used to it they're just as good as a stick or controller.

Are the red buttons supposed to be WASD? Why is S so awkwardly positioned?

Do you have an abnormal thumb or something?
>>375896117
because its hit with your thumb. If jump was on the W spot you couldn't hit both at once, you'd have to move your finger from one to another, this is more efficient for any game/character with a down up charge, or superjump mechanic.

That's ASD + Spacebar layout, spacebar replacement is your up button.
I don't know why they chose it, something to do with being able to go SWSW quicker while keeping your fingers on A/D, since if they went a true WASD layout your left thumb is useless and etc etc etc.
Not so bad once you get used to it.

I got the right controller for you.

Well for a hitbox, your left thumb would be up, so no idea how much that'd help that situation.
Fightsticks with a balltop would probably be the easiest to experiment different grips.

Official SDVX controller when!?

>Well for a hitbox, your left thumb would be up, so no idea how much that'd help that situation
You're supposed to use your right thumb.

>Official SDVX controller when!?
I'd rather ghettocon
>>375896281
It's actually better if you get used to it.
>>375893714
you'd use your thumb more to a large degree on a hitbox than a regular layout arcade stick
