If you're a completionist the special ending is the best since it is the one that lets you do everything the game has to offer.

As for the endings themselves, they are pretty minimalistic, don't expect long ass cinemas explaining everything.

Don't worry this won't be a spoiler.

Also if anyone's reading this, are there any good demon recommendations against Baal? My demons keep getting turnt into a fly.

If you feel like the amala labyrinth is too hard though and you are having an extremely hard time.

You could just not do it and I can't remember exactly how but you can after your first playthrough unlock an extra free press turn.

That will make what is known as the True demon end a lot easier and less painful. I believe its in the first layer of the amala labyrinth in one of the corners with some gravestones where you can refight past bosses. You have to beat them IIRC under a certain turn limit to unlock it, not super hard iirc.

Anyway thats my best advice to you if you feel like you're having trouble getting through the labyrinth.

You won't retain your levels on newgame+ but you can use any demon. So ideally you'll just use magatamas to protect yourself and then fuse the toughest demons to plow through the game.

Also I think you retain your compendium which is nice.

Also it has one of the most desolate and oppressing atmospheres of any SMT game, you are literally at the end of the universe and what you do determines the fate of the new one destined to be born, your decisions carry heavy weight but you are absolutely alone. A few bosses change and you can skip other bosses in certain paths. Other than that there is no big difference, the endings are short and simple anyway, just do the special ending and watch the others on youtube.

Maybe level up just a little bit until you have a demon that nulls wind damage.

Make sure you apply buffs with demons to yourself for most fiend fights.

Except for probably matador. He's unique because he uses taunt when he goes into his final berserker phase and its just a dps race at that point.

Taunt will let you do more damage to him and iirc he won't remove that buff from you. So your ideally just gonna want to race him.
