It's time to discuss the best character driven and ludonarratively consistent RPG.
It's like every game I play on GOG makes me drop it.
>got Pathologic on GOG, dropped it after a day even though I was hyped to play it
>got DA:O on GOG but I also dropped it before I even finished the tutorial
It's like Steam has hypnotized me or something

i played through it like 3 times. and once with mods.
it was great.
I kind of want to play the DLC's for it. I heard awakening was fun.
Should have had a Teryn Loghain POV campaign. He was the hero, after all.

pathetic

He was a traitor.
About to play, what is the best race/gender combination origin story? Heard female city elf is one of the best.
>>375871667
female city elf NEIN. Dwarf noble or caste-less males. Dalish male is decent but no effect later on.
>>375871667
no
Do you want to have the most impact on the game near the end and a more developed secondary villain? Play human noble.
Do you want the best backstory and insight into dwarven culture (which is very relevant in one of the main quests)? Play dwarf noble.

Pic included is always the correct option. Noble is better than commoner, tho

A patriot, some would say.

Human Male is canon I think and gets you more invested in wanting to see a certain bad guy burn.
Mage origin is probably the weakest origin story-wise but mages are definitely the most fun to play as gameplay-wise.
Dwarf noble is pretty interesting and probably second story-wise only to city elf.
Dwarf commoner is one of the weaker ones but I'd go with it for your asshole run.
City-elf (either gender) is probably the best story wiseand also the darkest.
Dalish elf is a decent enough intro as well.
TL;DR They're all pretty good, there are no "bad" ones so it really just depends on what race and class you want to be. The story is still good no matter what you choose.

>there are no "bad" ones
are you dizzy blud? elf and mage origins change nothing in the story later so they're obsolete
