Looking to get myself a 1080p 144hz monitor. Any seasoned anons got recommendations?

I've bought 8 different 1080p 144hz monitors, tested them and send them back etc.

The best one is without a doubt LG Monitor 24GM77 24". It has the best color quality out of all 144hz TN panels and the best price/performance.

Thanks for the input
But if i were to aim for an IPS panel?

>1080
1440 is what you want to do. Once I switched, I cant go back.
>>
Is BenQ RL2455HM any good? Or just an affordable first 75Hz monitor?
>>
>>375860173
I have a Viewsonic XG2401. 144hz, 1ms and freesync. It's a great and cheap monitor.
>>
>>375860541
IPS panels are expensive
IPS panels with low pixel response time are more expensive
IPS panels with low pixel response time and high refresh rate are even more expensive
Better to wait for OLED to become cheap anyway, they're best of all worlds.

Get a VG248QE (TN) in the meantime like me.

IPS panels are currently dogshit and they will be completely replaced within 1 or 2 years by the improved IPS screens that have the flare completely removed, have HDR with quantum dot tech. The first types of these screens are already being prepared, but the current versions are retardedly overpriced for enthusiasts, later cheaper models will be made with non-retarded features, for the general consumer.

75hz is retarded, so is 240hz. 144hz is the sweetspot.
>>
>>375860173
Anyone by Asus
>>
>>375861238
Yeah, i think that the VG248QE is probably going to get you the most bang for your buck at the moment. At least until IPS goes down in price.
>>
>>375860173
I´ve owned a 1080p 144hz monitor in the past.
My advice is to save up for a 1440p 144hz model.
People who tell you it barely looks any different are retards. 1080p looks like shit to me now.

have you checked the date you neanderthal?

been using a vg236 for over 6 years. pretty much no reason to change till it fails, its that good.

TN:
XG2401 or 24GM77 (out of production, might need to wait for the 24GM79 which is the same monitor but now with Freesync support as well).
G2460PF or XF240H if you're a cheapskate and want to save a buck.

Do NOT buy ancient shit like the VG248QE or GN246HL. They are thoroughly outdated monitor-tech wise, and 200$ is massively overpriced. Among other problems, and lack of newer features, they both use PWM dimmed / "flickering" backlights which was abolished by the industry in 2014.

There are no IPS panels for 24" 1080p 144hz. Samsung's VA ones are good though:
C24FG70. Curved and slightly slower with transitions on average than a TN panel, but massively better image quality and the best black-transition speeds for a VA panel yet. Has both Freesync and strobing as well.
Samsung are bringing out new ones in the SVA line soon, one with G-Sync. Probably expensive.

If you want a 27" 1440p 144hz IPS monitor, wait for the Nixeus one later in May. Nixeus actually know what they're doing with Freesync with this panel, so this one has proper dynamic overdrive and 30-144hz range.

Literally no reason to buy a 144hz monitor without Freesync in 2017 if you're not paying the premium for G-Sync, except if they're still selling the 24GM77 in your area.

It doesn't cost you anything and all the other Freesync-less options are shit.
>>
>>375867909
I don't want a proprietary monitor. That's absolutely fucking retarded.
>>
>>375866885

Is anyone making a 1440p 144hz HDR quantum dot tech 27" gaming monitor, without garbage like sync technology that increases input lag?
