Basically this. Scorpions have thicker 'skin' compared to spiders. Also, Scorpions have their iconic claws and stinger which they use for a sweet grapple and stab combo. Scorpions fighting eachother is a struggle for an opening in the opponent while not exposing oneself. If spiders fight eachother it is a short-lived brawl.

Majority of all spiders are speedy quick-killers. The ones that hang around on webs still rely on their speed to get to their captured prey and paralyse them before they can break free. Jumping spiders are even more impressive, and actively hunt and track prey until they can make a single leap and takedown. They're all vulnerable to anything that their fangs can't penetrate though.

not the guy you're responding to but Najka is so much harder in NG+ compared to Queelag.She has so much health, can toxic you and do a lot of damage with that stinger attack, can cast crystal homing soul mass and crystal soul spear, and hits like a truck. The best way to cheese her is have enough strength, vitality, and endurance to have a tower shield in the first left hand slot and then a faintstone infused rebel's greatshield in the second lefthand slot because it has 100% magic block. Then just be patient.
